Scholarship

Texas Cardiology Associates Houston is proud to offer this medical school scholarship program to students with a vested interest in cardiology and becoming part of the medical community. Having proudly served as Houston cardiologists since 1985, we understand the importance of education and fostering the next generation of cardiologists.

Only through education can we continue to innovate within the field of medicine. Through education, these future doctors will continue the important work of promoting heart health and improving the quality of life in communities across the United States.

As part of our educational efforts, we offer this medical scholarship to be awarded to students with an interest in pursuing a medical degree.

TCAH offers a $1,000 scholarship award to a student currently enrolled at an accredited college or university with a demonstrated interest in cardiology and/or medicine.

This scholarship is open to undergraduate and medical school students currently pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university in the United States. For undergraduate students, this scholarship is open to students pursuing one of the following degrees.

• Biology
• Human Physiology
• Organic Chemistry
• Nursing
• Biomedical Engineering

Draft an essay of no more than 1200 words. In your essay, describe your interest in medicine and how you hope to apply the knowledge you gain in medical school to help your community. Detail the path you hope to pursue and how this medical school scholarship will benefit you in your studies.

• Any submitted essays, photos, and videos must be the original work of the applicant.
• Only one submission per student per year. Duplicate entries are automatically disqualified.
• This scholarship is not renewable.

In submitting your application to the TCAH Medical School Scholarship 2020, you certify that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

Additionally, applicants must provide proof of current enrollment at their stated, accredited U.S. college or university within 21 days of notification. Examples of proof include a copy of a tuition bill and/or an official letter of proof from the school.

• Please submit all application materials by the following deadline: December 18, 2020.
• TCAH will announce winners by the 30th of December 2020. Our team will notify winners directly by email.

Voting and selection of the TCAH Medical Scholarship will be made by the TCAH team. In the selection process, our team considers the quality of the writing as well as the content. As you crafty your essay, please be creative in your demonstration and response
